TalkTalk TV, Broadband and Phone - Experiences?
Moving house in 2 months time and fed up with SKY and their customer 'service' and price hikes. They say I am under contract until March 2019 but fuck em, will just cancel direct debit and let them chase me (don't care about credit record as mine is shot anyway!)

Looked at BT for a full package but that was pretty expensive for what they were offering. I can't get Virgin where I am so looked at TT who do fibre broadband, TV plus box and entertainment package, multi room (1 extra room) and unlimited calls for £49.50 which is pretty fair.

A few years back people I know who had TT had lots of problems but it seems lately they have got a lot better with customer service and reliability (I know I am sort of answering my own questions)

On live chat with them they said they can provide a new line for me and new phone number (not a problem as most people use my mobile number to call me anyway) and also good speeds on internet.

So what I am asking is, are any of you cunts TT customers and if so how do you rate them? I don't have much choice on service providers if I am taking away SKY, BT and cannot get Virgin.

Cheers cunts

Quite frankly the broadband services in this country are simply appalling, in fact on a par with or worse than most 3rd World countries, yet the providers still charge extortionate prices for their hopeless service

I believe the government has stepped in to try to force an improvement but have left so many loopholes that the providers are unlikely to comply

I'm with BT, not because they provide a good package or service but because, when our line goes wrong, & it frequently does, Openreach take ages to sort it out if I'm with a different provider

It isn't supposed to be like that but it is, despite all their denials

I live out in the sticks admittedly, but I still have to pay over £25 a month for a speed of 3Mbps (yes that's 3 not 30!)

When I had my property in Tobago WI, which was also out in the sticks, I paid under £10 a month for speeds of over 50Mbps

It's a disgrace & I wouldn't recommend anyone here!

More concerned with new customers than current/historic.
Engineer visited to check my line telling me I should be getting 59Mb (as he also does living nearby) but was in 40's...Router replacement resulted in near 59Mb. Multicast (IP) tv staggered via Powerline - I know mains circuit can affect (but they weren't interested, asking me to run a cable across the room and when it improved though not fully, said I could leave it like that - no, I can't was my reply). Working at their office near Latimer Road (Grenfell) 8^\\ ) I overheard a phone conversation about their 2 standard routers having faulty / inconsistent firmware and they were demanding a resolution from the supplier...
Got a business line (Plusnet - BT affiliated) installed a bit later at home using the same cabling and got 72+Mb as soon as fibre was switched on on account - the TT SE Asian call centre were unable to seemingly extrapolate beyond standard list of checks before you made progress, unless you insisted you had gone through these previously and the call stayed open... could gladly offer to sell you TT powerline adapters with no reassurances... anyway, at least it didn't affect my perception of them... probably...

Used to be with Talk Talk and experienced nothing but issues, terrible Broadband that wasn't quick and constantly dropped. It was a few years ago now though.

With BT now and whilst they can be an absolute pain in the arse, especially when their bill computer cocks things up they for some reason offered me Infinity 2 and weekend calls for £22 recently for 18 months with BT Sport HD for free so I stuck with them.

Been with them for 6 years now. Never had any problems and (although I check at renewal time) never found anything cheaper.
70Mb fibre, normally clock about 55 to 60.

I dumped TalkTalk about a year ago after they cancelled my appointment for an engineer 3 times only to change it back to the original date at the last minute , i had to change my time off from work continually to accomode this , when the "Brightsparks" engineer turned up , my broadband was actually working so he said "enjoy your internet" and walked out without checking anything .... Yeah you get what you pay for is about right

I personally wouldn't got to TT. BT for your broadband and phone and NOW TV you can get Sports, Entertainment, Movies, Kids on a monthly contract (you probably know this). I bet if the majority checked the shit they have recorded on their Sky\\Virgin boxes it will show the majority of entertainment programmes are on freeview and the subscription channels they have recorded are available via NOW TV

Entertainment Package £7.99, Sports £33 (that's all channels), Movies £9.99 (keeps the missus happy), Kids £2.99. If you don't want to pay for BT line rental but want a landline check out Vonage.

Not defaulted as I aim to pay until I move by which time the account will be up to date and the new order will be processed. I will look into it more though just in case and pay the remaining 3 months SKY if I have to. My account with SKY is 100% fine 're payments so all good

Tea,

You do realise that other providers will check your credit and see you have defaulted with Sky so will tell you to do one?

TakltTalk are fucking appalling with the worst customer service i have ever experienced. Broadband continually dropping out 5 times an hour and they couldn't give a fuck. Avoid them like the plague..
Have moved to BT and had no issues , faster broadband as well.

Re: TalkTalk TV, Broadband and Phone - Experiences?
I have had Talk Talk for years now. Got the TV package too with which they supplied those wireless connectors that use the house wiring, for free. its got HD and you can add boosts like Sky Sports and Movies. They upgraded my router for no charge . No issues with Broadband Speeds or service. Only gripe was they charge for Anytime calls now 5 Quid a month where before it was the free before 7am , after 7pm and weekends.
